Rumors have been going around that the president is in poor health, and some folks have been eagerly anticipating the news of his demise sooner than expected. He hadn’t been seen in public lately, and on Saturday the White House released a video of him playing golf that critics contend is three months old.

Added to this is an AI-generated montage of the world leaders who joined Vladimir Zelenskyy in Washington a couple weeks ago to pressure the president into defending Ukraine in peace negotiations with Russia; as well as footage of Putin with Trump on their recent useless summit. In the montage several leaders, including Putin, are seen scooting away from Trump, holding their noses, visibly wincing at what is purported to be the stench of Trump’s diaper, something long rumored to be a problem for anyone who got too close. All information I can find on this video is that it is a satirical fake using AI and some other forms of editing. I stand by rendering Trump as a smelly diaper clad dotard.

All of which I thought about when seeing news of the fascistic posters Trump draped over the Department of Labor to commemorate Labor Day in nativist fashion.
